Turbines by skraww Turbines by skraww
Just a 15 minute speedy to pass the time, testing out a few of the blendy brushes in CS5, too.

I can't be the only one who thinks wind turbines are quite beautiful? They remind me of swans ._.

I do far too many speed paintings of beaches ;___;

Glad you like it! :la:

I've been doing some gesture drawings lately using this tool: [link]
For some of them you only get 30 seconds to draw the pose! :faint: THIRTY SECONDS!
Fifteen minutes feels like an eternity after that! :lol:

I just saw them! And actually, I'm going to use that, because I've been looking for one of those! I did some with this one: [link]

And it's good, but they're not *live models* so they're all ideal and lame, so I don't like it as much. I actually really enjoy doing 30-60 second drawings because it's such a challenge and when you do it well you feel so accomplished |D

Where are you from? Because this looks like a Danish landscape. The sea, the sky, the light, and the turbines... the more I've travelled, the more I've realised how different the ambience is, depending on where you are in the world. And this looks decisively like my home. :)

I'm from the UK, the north-east coast of England, to be more precise. So your guess is pretty close! XD

I do tend to get very inspired by my surroundings. I have a habit of painting a lot of scenery (mostly beaches) based on this area. It's not very sunny and isn't technically picturesque but I love the gloomy, grey atmosphere and can't stop trying to capture it. C:

Kudos to you, you capture it exeedingly well! This sort of landscape is near and dear to my heart as well, just for the contrast between the harsh sunshine, and the purple rainclouds you sometimes see.

That's not very quick considering I paint with big messy scribbles. XD
I like blocking the shapes in first then adding a bit of scribbly texture afterwards, it's the fastest way to work for me. :)
